When will you be offering a webinar for DBAs to find this bad SQL?

We don't currently have this specific topic in the webinar queue, but I'm sure we can consider adding it.

There are lots of ways you can find bad SQL.  The toolspack included with the harness includes several scripts (for example, htopsql.sql) to help find bad SQL.  Oracle has ways to view "bad" SQL in OEM and statspack and most 3rd party tools also have some way of pointing towards poorly performing SQL.

We also teach a course called Diagnosing Oracle Performance Problems that discusses how to diagnose performance problems no matter where they exist that you may find helpful.  Cary Millsap and Jeff Holt's book, Optimizing Oracle Performance, is also a great resource (and used as the basis for our class).

Of course, the best way to know something is bad is that someone is complaining about it!  I'll bet if you think about, you know which queries/code needs work...even without a tool to tell you!
