10053 Trace - Webinar Question on 7/26/07

When you run a 10053 trace, is that the explain plan or the execution plan?

It is the explain plan. Execution plans are contained in the STAT lines in the 10046 trace file. Cary's Book "Optimizing Oracle Performance" pages 83-84 lists how the 10046 trace file shows the execution plan in STAT lines.
