We just cloned the database with all statistics included. One of the instances ran a job in several hours instead of seconds.  What could go wrong?

Cloning has the cognation that everything is the "same" between the two systems.  But are they? If anything is different between the two that could be the reason.  Is the disk layout the same?  Is the Hardware the same?  Did you get the same plan at the cloned DB as you did on the source DB? If not then that is a big clue that something is different at the Oracle level. Without a trace of what happened we are guessing and could easily be very wrong.  And as Cary likes to say "Why guess when you can KNOW!"
